Speciality Counseling

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a treatment that is effective for individuals who struggle to regulate their emotions. It is effective for helping with moderate to severe symptoms. DBT also treats individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, impulsive behavior, and self-harming. This treatment involves several components. Clients can choose comprehensive DBT or DBT informed services.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a brain-based treatment proven to help individuals who want to resolve trauma, panic, and anxiety symptoms. This treatment utilizes bilateral stimulation to help the brain heal from painful memories that impact how an individual thinks, feels, and behaves in the present.

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT)

EFT is an evidence-based integrative and experiential therapy. EFT helps couples create a secure bond through reprocessing emotional responses and facilitating corrective emotional experiences. EFT is one of the leading approaches used to assist couples in building and restoring strong and lasting relationships.

Dr. Ginavra Gibson, LPC, LPC-S, C-DBT

Dr. Ginavra Gibson is the Owner of Providence Hill Counselling and Consulting. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University. Ginavra earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of the Cumberlands.

Dr. Gibson has served as a counselor, supervisor, and program director in rural, suburban, and urban outpatient community mental health settings. She has served as a crisis counselor and supervisor of mobile crisis teams. Dr. Gibson is trained in evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Dr. Gibson also serves as a professor in a graduate counseling program in South Carolina.

Dr. Gibson works primarily with adults age 17 and up, and couples. She specializes in treating trauma, infertility and pregnancy loss, depression, anxiety, relationship and communication issues, personal growth, stress management, and building self-confidence.

Individual Counseling

Self-pay Fee Per 1 Hour Session: $125

Couples and Family Therapy

Self-pay Fee Per 1 Hour Session: $150

I am in network with Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Anthem EAP, and Quest Behavioral. If I am not in-network for your insurance company, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network provider reimbursement.
